Death Investigation Near 46th Avenue and National Western Drive

According to Denver Police, officers were dispatched to an area near 46th Avenue and National Western Drive after reports of a possible emergency. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive individual at the scene.

The area was immediately secured as investigators and the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner responded to conduct a formal death investigation. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased, and it remains unclear whether foul play is suspected at this stage.

Detectives are currently reviewing evidence, including surveillance footage and witness statements, as they work to establish what led to the fatal outcome.

Officer-Involved Shooting During Domestic Violence Response

In a separate incident, Denver Police confirmed that officers were involved in a critical encounter while responding to a domestic violence call.

During the response, officers encountered a suspect who became physically engaged with law enforcement. Police stated that during the struggle, an officer discharged a firearm, striking the individual.

The suspect was transported to a nearby hospital, where they were later pronounced deceased. Authorities confirmed that no officers were injured during the incident.
